Janna Lelchuk was one of two AFLA members that received a $500.00 travel scholarship from AFLA in order to present at ACTFL 2015 in San Diego, California. Here is her report!
I did a presentation of how to use technology based on augmented reality (AR) in a language classroom: “Augmented Reality in 21st Century Classroom”. I showed how I updated my textbook “I want to Speak Russian” and my TPRS story books with additional information: still images, gif images and videos. These images are hidden on book pages and can be seen through a mobil device with special app. There was a lot of interest in this technology, so in addition to sharing the information I ran a quick seminar on Aurasma Studio at round table.
